WHY SCREEN PRINTING?

  • Accessibility

The beauty of printmaking is that graphics and ideas are created in multiples in order to distribute. I want art to be more easily attainable for folks at a variety of cost baselines. In our chaotic unpredictable world, financial means shouldn’t become a barrier for accessing art.

  • Connection and Collaboration

I’m determined to use my skills of creating prints to help others sharing their thoughts and ideas with their communities. I’ve had the opportunity to print work for Arc’Teryx and The Corey Hotline.

  • Fundraising

Having the privilege of making art and selling it to interested folks creates opportunity to donate a percentage of profit to organizations who are fighting for inclusivity for queer and BIPOC communities.

I’ve been fortunate to connect with community members to raise money for orgs, like Inclusive Canada, who are working hands on with folks to make a difference.

  • Wearable Art

We only have so much room on our walls - sometimes the art belongs on wearable apparel! Making statements becomes that much easier and comfier with apparel.

Every morning without fail I have a moment of, “OH SHIT MY MEDS!” As a reminder to myself and fellow medicated folks, I illustrated and printed this image. There are two sizes to choose from: 4.5x6 inches and 8x10 inches. Hand printed on white Stonehenge paper to make those delicious colours POP!

20% of profits will be donated to Mutual Aid Canada.

get sensible

Aligning with Canadian Students for Sensible Drug Policy’s mandate to support drug education efforts, and building upon youth consultations on cannabis legalization and regulation conducted in Canada, the Sensible Cannabis Education toolkit and the Get Sensible campaign responds to calls for the development and dissemination of realistic and evidence-based cannabis education for youth.

I had the privilege of collaborating with Get Sensible to make a custom print design to allow the team to continue offering workshops on cannabis harm reduction, doing in-person engagement with young people, and creating content that mobilizes emerging cannabis research in a fun and engaging way.

Special thanks to Levin Ifko and Adam Steel for their work on this Behind the Scenes video.

All pieces are hand-printed in Mohkinstsis, Treaty 7. Screen printing has a variety of components that can make pricing dependent on a few variables.
