“Searching for belonging in a world designed to destroy me.”

This sentiment speaks to being Indigenous and Transgender person trying to exist amidst this breadth of systems designed to wipe us out.

This illustration was inspired by a photo taken at the Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump Museum of one of the buffalo inside. Such a whirlwind of feelings, but mostly I’m grateful to have visited this place to honour the knowledge of this herding technique the Blackfoot utilized.
